The purge

I recently saw a film in the movie theaters, called “The Purge”, is an American Horror Thriller, directed by James DeMonaco.

It’s set in the United States in the year 2022, they considered USA as a nation reborn, and they have this tradition, for a period of 12 hours, every illegal action, like murder, can be legal, In that period, and also in that time, the police and ambulances are suspended.

The government says that “The purge” is a benefit for the citizens because they can get rid of all the negative emotions the charge every day. Also doing the purge, helps by increasing the economy and they get rid of the “Useless people”

The plot starts when a medium-high class family helps a man that was in danger, and then some guys’ starts threaten the family to give the man, so that they could finish the act of the purge. They gave them time, but they couldn’t find the man. So the teenagers got into the house and they tried to kill the family, but they only killed the dad. The neighbors saw that they were in danger, so they came to the house and killed all the teenagers, but they didn’t go to help them, they wanted to kill them, just because they we’re richer and they were jealous. At the end the family survives the purge.

I think it’s not the typical movie, but it’s a great plot, it’s more like a reflection movie and it’s makes you think, how it’s going to be possible that people agree to do such kind of thing, kill just because you hate someone or for fun like the teens in the movie.

I really recommended this movie, after you watch it, it will bring an interesting theme of conversation.
