First of all, I don’t know why I’ve to do your homework, LOL it’s a joke I really enjoy helping you and more if is my specialty.

Day of dead is one of the most important holiday here in Mexico, and also my favorite, is when you put “ofrendas”, is like an altar to our relatives that are dead, a ofrenda have to have food and beverages the favorite of ours dead, some candy skulls and many people put belongings things of the dead relative. This celebration made them in the days of November, 1 and 2, my grandma says that in the first day of November they must celebrate to the adult’s persons that have died and the second day to the children they’ve died. Halloween is celebrate the 31 of October, the origins is by Pagans people and the believe that the souls of dead people come to the Earth and make mischiefs or kill people, but nowadays people forget that and they dressed up her children and have some fun with them.

Also there’s a tradition like trick or treat that is celebarate in Halloween, but in Mexico we called it “Calaverita” is exactly the same, the unique difference is the name, because also here the children use disguise and also they asked the people to give them some candies.

In my family first we put our ofrenda to my grandparents, also we put another to my dad, and then we go to the church to pray, well sometimes we do it, but most of the people do it, after the church we go to the pantheon to visit our relatives and family and gave them some flowers. And finally we eat with my family a “bread of dead” it’s delicious, is a bread that have sugar in the top and sometimes is filled with cream.
